My first experience of Zero Balancing was joining a weekend course while studying acupuncture in the early 1990’s in the UK. Although I didn’t practice acupuncture following qualification in 1994, I have continued to attend Zero Balancing courses and swap ZBs with other practitioners (in the UK, Italy and Switzerland) over the last 30 years. I certified in Switzerland in the summer of 2017 and now offer ZB sessions in Zurich, Switzerland and in Brighton, UK.

Zero Balancing involves a respectful, engaged and focused touch through which the practitioner assesses a person’s structure, movement and resilience. A session lasts between 30 and 40 minutes and is performed with the individual dressed, first sitting and then lying comfortably on their back on a massage table.
Zero Balancing uses held stretches and finger pressure with a focus on bones and joints. It may involve a refreshing relaxation which can bring about a deeper experience of well-being and integration. The gentle but firm touch may engender a return of flexibility, encourage good posture and clear stiffness in a restorative way.
